It’s also a pretty poor way of framing a lot of issues, because “white privilege” can refer to both actual privilege (I.e. making more money than you would if you were nonwhite) and basic human rights that everyone is entitled to.

Being treated respectfully by the police is not a “privilege,” it’s a right, and treating it as if it’s a luxury and not a basic function of society lowers the bar for everyone.
