I used to be homeless. Every day I'd go to this sprawling Homeless...Center? I guess you could call it? A large open-air pavillion that provided food, phonecalls, day storage, showers, and resources.

I spent a lot of time waiting in lines with these people, one thing always pissed me off: They never shut the fuck up about how great God is for giving them absolutely nothing.

"I'm so blessed man, as long as I got air in my lungs I'm blessed"

No you aren't. Even in America, homelessness is pretty close to the mathematical bottom of "Things to be grateful for."

And I get taking personal accountability for why you're homeless instead of blaming God. I get that. But stop thanking the motherfucker while he's actively bullying you.
