Hey, I just made a couple very long posts in this thread that pertain to fundamentalism and how Study Bibles can be an incredibly effective tool to open your mind by providing tons of context and information without pushing any agenda.

I spent way too long typing them out to repeat them, and Medium doesn't let you link to individual posts, but if you skim down, you should be able to find them.

Normally I don't push my own comments, because that would be fucking sad, but you may find some value in the wisdom of the gay Bible teacher, how he addressed fundamentalism, and the mental framework to approach the Bible as something more than a list of rules.
